Chinese Character Worksheet Generator: how to use it
How do I make a Chinese character worksheet?
Enter the Chinese characters you want to practice without punctuation or numbers. Each character gets its own row, with automatic page breaks for longer lists. You can enter up to 120 characters; spaces and line breaks do not become practice items.
Choose square grids with sides of 16, 20 or 24 mm, one of three line colors and 0–5 light gray tracing characters per row. Add a blank row for independent practice. The English interface uses the same simplified Chinese examples as the Simplified Chinese version and preserves the characters you enter.
What does stroke-order tracing show?
When stroke order is enabled, each cell shows one step: the current stroke is red and earlier strokes are gray. Whole-character practice follows. Complex characters may continue across rows or pages; characters without stroke data are identified and use ordinary whole-character tracing instead.
The stroke data targets Mainland Chinese forms and has not been checked character by character against current standards. Compare it with your teaching materials. The tool does not add pronunciation automatically or provide diagonal mi zi ge grids.
How do I print the worksheet at actual size?
Wait for the preview, then download the PDF. Select the same Letter or A4 paper size used for the worksheet and Actual size or 100% scaling. Print one test page to check character shapes, page breaks and grid size before printing the whole worksheet.
