Pen Control Worksheet Generator: how to use it

How do I choose a pen control pattern?

The 48 original patterns are organized into six categories: straight lines, angled lines, curves and waves, loops, shape outlines and combined exercises. Choose a thumbnail or use the previous and next buttons to explore the patterns.

Start with a simple path that is easy to follow. Look for the starting dot and direction arrow, trace the dashed lines slowly, then try drawing the pattern independently in the free-practice boxes at the bottom of the page.

What is included on each worksheet?

Each pattern produces one page, with a pattern size of 16, 20 or 24 mm and a choice of three line colors. Generate and download different patterns separately to match the practice you want to do.

These sheets support line-tracing practice. They do not assess pencil grip or movement skills, and they do not promise therapeutic results. Choose practice duration and difficulty to suit the person using them.

How do I print clear tracing lines?

Download the PDF and print using the same Letter or A4 paper size as the worksheet at Actual size or 100%. Check that the dashed paths and direction arrows are clear. For black-and-white printing, try the gray line color and print one test page.

If ink-saving mode makes light gray tracing lines too faint, adjust the printer quality settings.
